Overview:
Ascendra is expanding its SharePoint offerings to meet customer demand. We are currently looking for a Lead SharePoint Developer to design and develop applications for our customers as well as build Ascendra’s custom SharePoint solutions. This is a challenging position that will work with multiple clients in the Washington DC Metro Area and at Ascendra Headquarters in Reston, VA. Ascendra offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Requirements:
•Minimum of five (5) years of related IT work experience
•Three(3)+ years of SharePoint technical lead and application development experience
•Solid understanding of Microsoft SharePoint-related technologies including but not limited to: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/2010, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Migration and Maintanence, InfoPath Forms Services, Excel Services, PerformancePoint Services, Business Connectivity Services, Workflow (Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, K2, Nintex), and custom web part development.
•Two(2) years development experience using .NET Framework, C#, ASP.net and XML
•Experience with portals, enterprise content management, search (including FAST), business process automation, business intelligence, and social computing
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•MOSS 2007/2010 Training and Certification
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Note: Requirements are based on US Government Agency contracts which require US Citizenship
Location: Multiple locations in the Metro Washington DC area, Ascendra is based in Reston, VA
Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, configure, deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot SharePoint solutions
•Define system scope and objectives based on user defined needs
•Develop SharePoint solutions using out of the box functionality and/or the appropriate custom development tools (ASP.net, C#, WCF, SOA, etc.)
•Participate in the design, development, customization, and integration efforts for enterprise solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process Automation, Business Intelligence, and Forms Development
•Work with end users to gather, define, prioritize, and document functional system requirements and acceptance criteria based on business needs
•Create use cases to capture functional system requirements and corresponding test cases
•Work with end users to document requirements, findings, workflows, and business processes
•Work with stakeholders to identify system requirements are met and resolve issues
•Work with analysts/managers to analyze business requirements, provide design, develop technical specifications, perform coding, assist with unit testing, perform implementation, provide post-production support, and perform project/task estimation
•75% of time is expected to be billable across one or more clients including private sector and Federal Government
