Bill Ryan, President

Bill is a proven senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the federal contracting space. As President, he is responsible for Ascendra's strategic direction and overall performance.

Prior to the creation of Ascendra, Bill served as the Chief Financial Officer for DigitalNet Government Solutions (DGS).  As a key member of the DGS senior leadership team, Bill helped execute an overall corporate strategy that included the successful purchase and integration of two major acquisitions, a $125 million bond offering and a $90 million IPO. During his time at DGS, Bill oversaw the selection and successful implementation of a variety of financial systems including the Oracle E-Business Suite. DigitalNet was acquired by BAE Systems in October 2004.

Bill began his career with Honeywell Federal Systems (HFS) in 1980 and graduated from the Honeywell Financial Development Program in 1983. He held a number of key positions at HFS and its successor companies.  From 1990 through 2002, he held senior financial positions with Wang Federal Systems and Getronics Government Solutions.

Bill holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
